think it would be most unjust to apply Torrens'
Act in this Parish as it has been in other parishes.
At the same time I would strongly recommend that
any measure brought before Parliament should
secure—
1. Whenever a population is removed from
the reason of overcrowding that there
should be provision made for taking
them to other lodgings.
2. That a proper compensation be given to
those whose property is destroyed by
removing the houses of the poor.
