The list also shews the various small matters
that have been done in regard to alterations in
lamps, new street names, repairing stand posts,
and other small matters that do not need any special
explanation. A great number of street names still
require to be affixed; many of the present ones,
though not actually illegible, are anything but
creditable, and as a matter of appearance require to
be replaced, though this work cannot be said to be
actually essential.
In conclusion I would add that all matters in the
Surveyor's Department being so thoroughly weighed
by the Works Committee and the Vestry, further
explanations would be superfluous.
I have the honour to be,
Rev. Sir, my Lords and Gentlemen,
Your obedient servant,
A. P. HOWELL.
Vestry Surbegor.
