On looking over the Tables of the Quarterly
Report of Mortality, we shall find that the diseases
which present an increase over the past year are
those of the zymotic group, and that these fell
chiefly on children and persons under the age of
20, only 9 having died of this class of diseases above
the age of 20.

the mortality of the year has occurred amongst young persons, between the ages of 1 and 20 years, as will be seen from the following Tables of deaths at different ages:—
