PERSONAL.
Several changes have taken place in the personnel of the Vestry
during the past year. Mr. Thomas Emary, one of the oldest
members, and a Public Library Commissioner, died on the 10th June,
1899. He had for 18 years been a member of the Vestry, and was
Chairman of the Finance Committee for several years prior to 1895.
A vote of condolence was adopted to the widow and family.
Mr. W. S. Cook, the successor to Mr. Emary, in 1895, in the
Chair of the Finance Committee, died on the 15th June, 1899, and a
vote of condolence with the family was adopted.
Later on in the year, Mr. George Backhaul, another member of
the Vestry, also died, and a similar vote was passed to his widow
and family.
