T.
have sent a report to the London County Council, of the premises
???, from the insufficient capacity of Main Sewers, Old Kent Road
nd ew Kent Road.
the whole of the Brick and Pipe Sewers have been flushed and
eared.
the necesssity for the construction of Flushing Chambers at the summits
???t. Pipe Sewers that cannot be flushed by means of brick sewers, still
???nt???ues. This is in consequence of the Water Company having laid on the
pns???nt water supply, in place of the intermittent, by this means stopping the
???w of water that occured, which was the means of flushing the pipe
???.
would be a very desirable improvement, to construct an Underground
???, Old Kent Road, in place of the present slate urinal near the
Bri???ayers' Arms, Old Kent Road, accidents are of frequent occurence. By
Pla???g the urinal underground in accordance with plan and specification,
???ed and approved by Committee and Vestry, much greater space would
??? ailable for people crossing the road, and there would be much less
??? of accident.
again beg to draw the attention of the Vestry to the benefit that would
??? to this Parish by the main sewers under the control of the London
??? Council being more thoroughly flushed by utilizing the water from
the liver Thames; this could be done by connecting the summits of main
??? sewers on Southern side of Thames by means of 9-inch pipes with the
??? when an unlimited supply would always be available at high water. I
??? also again to report that the Main Sewer, Old Kent Road, is of insufficient
capacity for the quantity of Sewage and Storm Water it has to take.
