Parish of Saint George the Martyr, Southwark.
The Deaths from Zymotic Diseases, as I have mentioned before, are much less the
in previous years, six deaths only haviug occurred from Scarlet Fever, and 8 deaths from
Small Pox. During the year 62 cases of Small Pox were removed to the Asylum by ???
orders, and 47 by the Relieving Officers.

177 Bodies have been removed to the Mortuary.
123 Inquests have been held, and there have been 51 Post Mortems made.
Twenty-nine Pounds Ten Shillings has been received from the Coroner for the use
the Court Room, and Thirty-three Pounds Eighteen Shillings has been paid to
Undertaker for the removal of Bodies upon the Coroner's order.
Tho Cow-houses and Slaughter-houses have been inspected, and all application;
the Sessions, at which I attended, were granted.
Tho Bake-houses have also been inspected.
The Water Supply during the year has been good
The temperature during the year has been low, and the winter has been one
exceptional cold, not so much on account of any extremely low temperature, but from
long period of frost. There was not a single week from the commencement of October
the end of March in which the temperature did not fall to the freezing point, and in m???
places the temperature fell below the freezing point in more than 30 consecutive nights
I he rainfall has been in excess.
4 lots of bedding have been destroyed at the request of the owners.
