ANNUAL REPORT
MADE TO THE VESTRY
by the
MEDICAL OFFICER OF HEALTH.
FOR THE YEAR ENDING LADY-DAY 1884.

I have the pleasure to place before you, in this my 6th Annual Report, the vit???
statistics for the registration year 1883-4.
The year has been a healthy one; the (loath rate being rather under 21. The death
from Zymotic disease have been below the average, as there has been no epidemic.
During the year 1134 males, and 1132 females were born and registered, giving
total of 2266.
There were 1213 Deaths; "the lowest number during the last ten years." 633 we
males, and 580 females. The deaths of males exceeded that of females by 53.
The births were 59 in excess of the previous year, and 1053 in excess of deaths.
deaths were recorded having occurred in the Evelina Hospital, and 33 in Bethlem.
