way of Raymouth Road, leaving £2600 to be repaid by 13 instalments of £200 each, on the
31st day of July in each year, and interest at the rate of £3 10s. per cent, per annum.
£380 has been paid off the loan of £3800 borrowed 17th May, 1892, from the London
County Council, towards defraying the expense of paving the carriageway of Albion Street (from
Lower Road to Clarence Street) leaving £3420 to be repaid by 18 annual instalments of £190
each, on the first day of April in each year, with interest at the rate of £3 10s. per cent
per annum.
£22 has been paid off the loan of £1100 borrowed June 9th, 1893, from the London County
Council towards defraying the expense of the purchase of the site of the Old Drill Hall in the
Lower Road, for the erection thereon of a Town Hall, Vestry Hall, Offices, etc., leaving £1078
to be repaid by 49 equal annual instalments of £22 on the 1st day of April in each year, with
interest at the rate of £3 10s. per cent, per annum.
Charities.
A special meeting of the Vestry, convened by requisition, was held the 5th May, 1893, to
nominate and appoint fourteen gentlemen residing and dwelling within the Parish of Rotherhithe
to be Feoffees of the Amicable School, St. Marychurch Street, in the place of those who were
deceased and of those who had ceazed to reside in the Parish; also for the nomination of new
Trustees of the Stratford and Plaistow Charity Estates in the place of those who were dead, and
of those who had removed out of the Parish.
1 he Clerk having reported that there were only four surviving and continuing Feoffees of
the Amicable School, St. Marychurch Street, and of the Annuity of £6 a year granted by Peter
Hill and Robert Bell, out of the number appointed by deed dated 1st May, 1869, namely:—
The Rev. Edward Josselyn Beck, and
Messrs. Edward Talbot, Edward James Talbot, and William Henry Kelsey,
It was Resolved—That the following twenty-six Inhabitants and Parishioners be appointed new
Feoffees of the School-house, and the annuity of £6 a year, in the place of those who had died
