Dusting.
Mr. Edward Donogen is the Contractor for the removal of dust, ashes, etc., out of the
Parish ; also for the removal of trade refuse at 3s. per cubic yard. (For particulars of Contract
see page 9).
The tender of Mr. P. Round was accepted for the supply of 250 dust pails, at the sum
of £24 10s.
Sanitary Work.
An arrangement has been entered into with the Vestry of Bermondsey for the use of their
Destructor, the articles to be destroyed being in the first instance fumigated and conveyed
in a covered truck, the Vestry paying a fee of 10s. each time of using.
The unhealthy area lying between Paradise Street and Rotherhithe Street is still under the
consideration of the London County Council.

Gentlemen,
I have the honour to present you the Eighteenth Annual Report, upon the work
done during the year ending 31st Docember, 1893. Twelve summonses for adulteration have
been taken out (under the Sale of Food and Drugs' Act, 1875) and defendants fined in each case.
By resolution of the Vestry, 6th June, 1893, proceedings were taken against a
firm in Rotherhithe Street for an infringement under the 23rd Section of the Public Health
(London) Act, 1891 (Smoke Consumption); a previous conviction having been proved against
them, the magistrate imposed a fine of £10 and 2s. costs.
