The Vestry, having considered the policy of the London County Council with regard to the
subject of the Metropolis Water Supply, passed the following resolution, viz.:—
That this Vestry inform the Council that they heartily support them in their efforts to
obtain control of the water supply.
Mr. Francis Harker Thomas, who had been in the service of the Vestry since 8th May,
1874, a period of over 17 years, as an Assistant Clerk in the Vestry Offices, tendered his
resignation upon his appointment as Registrar of Births and Deaths for Rotherhithe, which was
accepted by the Vestry on the 3rd June, 1891.
Mr. James Day has been appointed Junior Assistant Clerk in the Vestry Offices.
