.£1,000 has been paid off the Loan of £2,000, borrowed in November, 1881, of the late
Metropolitan Board of Works towards defraying the expense of Paving the Carriageway and
Footways, Rotherhithe Street, at the Gas Works and Carolina Wharf, leaving £1,000 to be
repaid by ten annual instalments of .£100 on the 31st day of October in each year, with
interest at the rate of £3 15s. Od. per cent, per annum.
£720 has been paid off the Loan of £1,800, borrowed in November, 1883, of the late
Metropolitan Board of Works towards defraying the expenses of Paving Commercial Dock
Road, from the Engineer's office, Surrey Commercial Docks, to the east corner of Elgar Street,
leaving £1,080 to be repaid by twelve annual instalments of £90 on the 1st day of October,
with interest at the rate of £3 10s. Od. per cent, per annum.
£54 has been paid off the Loan of £250, borrowed in July, 1885, of the late
Metropolitan Board of Works towards defraying a portion of the expense of the purchase of a
house No. 69, Abbeyfield Road, for the formation on the site thereof of a passageway from
the said Abbeyfield Road to the wicket-gate entrance to Southwark Park in Dilston Grove,
leaving £196 to be repaid by twenty-four instalments on the 1st day of April in each
year, with interest at the rate of £3 10s. 0d. per cent, per annum.
£1,000 has been paid off the Loan of £4,000, borrowed in October, 1886, of the late
Metropolitan Board of Works, towards defraying the expense of Paving the Carriageway,
Rotherhithe New Road, from Bush Road westward, to the viaduct of the South Eastern
Railway; also the Carriageway of Raymouth Road, leaving £3,000 to be repaid by fifteen
instalments of £200 each, on the 31st day of July in each year, and interest at the rate
of £3 10s. Od. per cent, per annum, payable quarterly.
Charity Estates.
The Accounts of Messrs. Francis Thomas Talbot and James Wigginton, Churchwardens
of the Parish of St. Mary, Rotherhithe, for the year 1891-92, have been audited, and the
following is a copy thereof:—
