" Resolved, that this Vestry entirely approve of the constitution of the Borough of
"Rotherhithe, in the manner set out by Her Majesty's Government in the Redistribution
" of Seats Bill."
"Resolved, that a copy of the foregoing resolution be sent to the Prime Minister
"and the President of the Local Government Board, to the Members of Parliament for
"the Borough of Southwark and East Surrey, and to the various Local Authorities of
"the Borough."
On the 3rd March, 1885, the Vestry passed the following resolution, viz.: —
"Resolved, that this meeting approve of the Tower Bridge, proposed by the
"Corporation of the City of London, to be erected below London Bridge, and for
"which they are now seeking to obtain Parliamentary sanction; and that the Members
"for the County and Borough be requested to support the Bill in its passage through
"Parliament."
