The pipe sewer, Rotherhithe Street, by the Gas Works has been continued 60
feet further eastward, and the two gullies there connected therewith, and trapped at
a cost of £23 7s. 2d.
A length of 128 feet of 12 inch pipe sewer has been laid in Rotherhithe-street,
near the Noah's Ark P H , to take the drainage of Caen Wharf and the road gullies,
at a cost of £43 16s. 7d.
15 inch pipe sewers have been laid in the following new streets, viz:—Nelldaleroad,
Pedworth-road and Mossington-road, the cost of which will be borne by the
owners of property in the said roads.
The 15 inch pipe sewer in Cranham-road has been continued on 200 feet, the
cost being apportioned amongst the owners of the property in the usual manner.
About 100 feet of the pipe sewer in Debnams-road, from the Manhole to the
Main sewer, Rotherhithe-new-road has been re-laid.
The 12 inch pipe sewer in Napier-terrace, Plough-road, has been continued on
northward, about 145 feet, and the cost thereof apportioned amongst the owners
of property there.
Notices have been served, by order of the vestry, upon the owners of property
having drainage outfalls into the River Thames, requiring them to properly drain
their premises into the sewers, and to discontinue draining into the river.
The old Watch House, at the Burial Ground, Church-street, has been fitted up
as a Store for the sewers laborers' tools, &c., at a cost of £32 10s. 0d.
Paving Works.
The following materials have been used in repairing the roads during the year
ended 25th March, 1875, viz:—
