Financial.
£1,600 has been paid off the Paving Loan, borrowed of Mr. J. W. Barrett, leaving
£400 to be repaid by yearly instalments of £200 each, with interest at £5 per
cent per annum.
£2,838 12s. 0d. has been paid oft' the Loan borrowed of Mr. Robert Lawrence,
for paving the Carriageway, Union Road, and Deptford Road, to the Surrey Commercial
Dock entrance, leaving £6,023 8s. 0d. to be repaid by equal annual
instalments within a period of 15 years, with interest at £3 percent per annum.
£1,000 0s. 0d. has been paid oft' the Loan borrowed of the Eagle Insurance
Company for paving the Carriage-way Deptford Lower Road, from the Surrey
Commercial Dock entrance, southward to the Lion P.H., leaving £9,000 to be repaid
by equal annual instalments, within a period of 18 years, with interest at £5 per
cent per annum.
The Loan of £600 obtained of Mr. Edward Talbot, and the Loan of £200
obtained from the late Mr. Edmond George Dannell. for sewers works, also the two
Loans of £1,500 each borrowed from the same gentlemen for paving works still
continue, these Loans being repayable in ten and fifteen years respectively. The
Vestry set aside £280 yearly, to form a sinking fund to pay the same off at the expiration
of the said terms; the sum at present standing to such sinking fund account
being £1,120 0s. 0d.

The following applications for the erection of new houses and buildings have also been received and plans checked and approved.
