A length of 556 feet of 12 inch pipe sewer has been laid in Rotherhithe Street,
from Clarence Street to the Surrey Consumers Gas Works, the Gas Company having
contributed £60 towards the cost thereof (£125 19s.).
248 feet of 12 inch pipe sewer has been laid in Rotherhithe Street, near the King
and Queen Granary, and one new Gulley provided at a cost of £65 1s. 4d.
196 feet of 15 inch pipe sewer has been laid in Cranham Road, Rotherhithe New
Road, at a cost of £84 4s. 2d. which will be borne by the Owners of the houses in
the said Road.
At the request of the East London Railway Company a 3 feet by 2 feet brick
sewer, 560 feet in length,. with the necessary gullies &c., has been constructed by the
Vestry's Contractor in Oldfield Road, the cost of which amounting to £861 12s. 7d.
the Railway Company have paid.
A 15 inch pipe sewer 450 feet in length with the necessary gullies, man holes, &c.
has been laid in Aspinden Road, the cost of which amounting to £203 2s. 8d. will be
borne by the Owners of property in the Road, the Vestry having agreed to
take payment by instalments as follows, viz.—One half of such cost before the
works were commenced, one fourth in six months and the remaining one fourth, in twelve
months from the commencement of the work.
Paving Work.
The following materials have been used in repairing the Roads during the year
ended 25th March 1874, viz.—
Broken Guernsey Granite 656 cubic yards.

Flints 30
Gravel and Hoggin 112 „
Slop and Snow Carted 7968 Loads.
