The cow-houses and slaughterhouses have been visited in respect to the renewal of their
Licenses and at other times; and their condition could not be complained of.
Various inspections of the Bakehouses have also been made, and at the time of our visits
no fault could be found.
The Workshops have been visited so far as their number could be ascertained, and a
return forwarded to Her Majesty's Inspector of Factories.
The dusting and Scavengers' duties have been performed tolerably well.
Your continued kind assistance to me in the discharge of my duties, and the ready cooperation
of my colleagues, demand my best thanks.
Yours respectfully,
SAMUEL TILLEY
Rotherhithe, August, 1870.
