About 100 feet of 12-inch pipe-drain has been continued up half-way in the rear of the
new houses, Bristol-terrace, Rotherhithe New Road from the pipe sewer already laid, and 90
feet of 9-inch pipe executed for the remainder of the distance, the Vestry contributing 15
per cent. towards the cost thereof, and the owners of the houses bearing the residue of such
cost. The Vestry also agreed to bear the expense of one of the two man holes constructed
in the said pipe-drain, the cost of the other man hole having been paid by the owners.
An order has been made by the Vestiy that on the laying out of the new streets
between Jamaica Level and Rotherhithe New Road, a main drain be required to be formed
at the cost of the owners, through the principal street (Raymouth-road), to fall eastward into
the main sewer, Rotherhithe New Road.
Paving Works.
The following works have been executed with new and old stone from 25th March,
1969, to 25th December, 1869, since which latter date the Vestry have contracted for the
execution of their paving jobbing works and the supply of material for same:—
New carriage-paving laid 50 tons.
Old carriage-paving relaid 929 yards.
Old carriage-paving redressed 50 yards.
Now curb laid 250 feet run.
