abortion had been attempted, and a new-born child
deserted in the street.
There were two deaths from the effects of anæsthetics,
one from ptomaine poisoning, and one from an
escape of coal gas into house. There wore six deaths
from the taking of poison under various circumstances,
including one suicide.
