XXXI. Public Lavatory Accommodation.
An additional public lavatory has been constructed
in Clarendon Street, at a cost of £1,147 8s. 6d.
This Lavatory, which was opened in July last,
provides the following accommodation for men :—
1 Washing Lavatory.
3 W.C's,
10 Urinals,
Attendant's Room.
Store Room.
XXXII. London Overhead Wires Act, 1891.
Mr. Albert Weston was appointed Inspector
under the above-mentioned Act, to perform the following
duties:—
To search out and ascertain the owners of all
overhead wires in the Parish.
Periodically examine all poles, attachments,
brackets, slings, blocks, wires, &c., and other accessories
in situ.
To pass or condemn, as the case may be, any
defective or other work not in accordance with the
By- laws; these specify the length of span, height of
same from ground, materials to be used for the supports
and the mode of protecting same, also various
other regulations with regard to information to be
supplied; maintenance of the wires, &c., as regards
