REPORT, 1890-91.
The mortality amongst the horses has been very
great during the end of December and early part of
January, owing to the exceptionally severe weather.
Influenza in its severest form was most prevalent, not
only in the Vestry's stud, but generally throughout
London. Every care and attention was bestowed
upon them, both by the Horsekeeper and Veterinary
Surgeon. This has been the heaviest death-roll since
the Vestry became possessed of horses, now fifteen
years.
Horse Fodder.
The following Tenders for the supply of horse
fodder were accepted during the year, the average cost
per horse per week for keep and bedding being
15s. 4.62d.:—
