about 4½ chains to its termination. Total length in
Paddington being about 9 chains.
The Guage will be the standard 4 ft. 8½, in. The
streets interfered with will be Tavistock Road, and a
portion of the intersection by Tavistock Crescent.
Paddington and Bayawater
Electric Light and Power Supply Company, Limited.
An application to the Board of Trade under the
Electric Lighting Acts, 1882 and 1888, for a Provisional
Order to authorise the above Company to
supply Electricity for public and private purposes in
the Parish of Paddington ; power to construct works,
to make charges, to acquire lands, and make arrangements
with Local Authorities, to open streets and lay
Electric Lines.
The Undertakers ask for power to break up and
pass over, along, across, or under the several railways,
canals, and tramways in the Parish; to purchase, hold,
or acquire, or take on lease, land, &c., for the purpose
of the said Order; to construct, provide, and lay down
the necessary plant; to open, and break up the soil
and pavement of the several streets within the area of
supply ; to take up, relay, divert, and alter drains,
sewers, mains, and all pipes, &c.
