REPORT, 1889-90.
their portion. The only remedy now is for the police
to take the matter in hand and summons them for
allowing their private part of the footway to remain
in a state dangerous to the foot passengers.
The laying of the wood paving beside the tramways
in the Harrow Road, necessitated the alteration
of the levels of the footway, kerb, and paving, on both
sides of the roadway, from Amberley Road to the
Western boundary, the entire length was relaid and
made good, where necessary, with new 3-inch York
flagging.
The footway paving of Green Lanes Bridge,
between Kensal Road and Westbourne Park Station,
being in a very defective condition, it was considered
advisable to relay the same, and as the Vestry decided
that a trial should be made of the patent Victoria
Stone, this locality offered a good opportunity to lay
some down, and this was done in May last, and it
appears to be wearing in a most satisfactory manner.
