Amberley Road 3 deaths.
Blomfield Street 3 „
Thorngate Road 3 „
Portnall Road 3 „
Kilburn Park Road 3 „
Of these streets, the first five are situated together,
and constitute one of the unhealthiest areas in the
Parish, not merely in regard to the disease now under
consideration, but in regard to all the zymotic diseases.
With regard to the distribution of the disease
during 1888, reference to the Tables will show that,
with two exceptions, the disease did not show any
special predilection for the streets most severely
attacked during the septennium 1881-87. The streets
in which 3 or more deaths from Diphtheria occurred
in 1888 were:—
Brindley Street 3 deaths.
Hampden Street 7 „
Barnsdale Road 3 „
Marlboro' Street 3 „
Artesian Road 3 „
Woodfield Place 3 „
Sutherland Avenue 3 „
St. Stephen's Road 3 „
It will be seen that as during the septennium, so
during 1888, Hampden Street has the worst record,
and, further, that of the streets specially attacked
during the septennial period, only Brindley Street and
Hampden Street appear to have been severely attacked
during 1888.
