WHICH RATES ARE LEVIED.
The earliest Acts are alone given in this List, the object bring to show
the dates at which the duty of levying a rate was in each case
imposed on the Parochial Authorities:—
I. Poor Rate.—18 & 19 Vic., Cap. 120 (a.d. 1855). (Transferring
to the existing Vestry the powers and duties given or reserved
to the Vestry elected under the Local Act of 1824,
5 Geo. IV., Cap 126, which superseded the Open Common
Law Vestry).
II. Lighting Rate. —The same.
III. General Rate. — The same.
IV. Sewers Rate—The same.
V. Main Drainage and Metropolitan Consolidated Rate.—The same.
VI. Church Building Rate.—58 Geo. III., Cap. 45 (a.d. 1818).

VIII. Police Rate. —10 Geo. IV., Cap. 44 (a.d. 1829).
IX. County Rate—12 Geo. II., Cap 29 (a.d. 1738).
