The crop of hay cut from the Vestry's field at
Alperton was of good quality, and produced nearly 18
loads.
The undermentioned works have been executed by
the Vestry's own staff of artizans at the Depot, viz.:—
Millwright.—The general repairs connected with
the engine, sifting, and other machines on the
wharves, the repairs to special outdoor work, such as
water meters, stand posts, &c., the wages paid being
£156 18s. 3d.
Engine Driver and Stoker.—The daily attention
to the engine and boilers, working the sifting and
other machines fixed on the wharves. Wages paid,
£78 8s. 6d.
Farriers and Smith.—This embraces all the
general smithing work for repairs of carts, water vans,
sanding machines, sweeping and scraping machines,
horse shoeing and making, and miscellaneous repairs
to machines and tools, besides the following work

executed for the Highway Department.
