which, but for such removal would enter the sewers
through the gulley drains.
One thousand six hundred and seventeen cubic
yards of deposit have been taken out of the catchpits
of gulleys, and carted away. The number of separate
removals therefrom being 30,229.
The eleven public urinals in the Parish arc regularly
attended to by the Vestry's workmen, for the purpose
of keeping them in a fit and proper condition.
In addition to the before-mentioned works of improvement
to the sewers, 23 gulley drains have been
constructed, 48 re-constructed, and 49 repaired.
The expenses incurred by the Highway and Sewers
Departments will be found in the Cash Account, printed
by order of the Vestry.
A tabular statement of the principal works executed,
also Lists of Plant and Stock, Premises, Books, Papers,
Documents, and Furniture in detail, are herewith
annexed.
