The death-rate in London last year, 20.3, was
the lowest on record, the next lowest having been
that of the immediately preceding year, 1883, when
the rate was 20.44. There has been no rate

---|---|---|---|---|
St. John's | 37,106 | 471 | 1 to 79 | 12.7 |
St. Mary's | 73,633 | 1,331 | 1 to 55 | 18.1 |
Paddington | 110,739 | 1,802 | 1 to 61 | 16.3 |
During the year there were 434 deaths of infants
