The under-mentioned works, &c., have been
executed by the Vestry's own staff of artizans at
the Depot, viz.:—
Carts and Water Vans.—All the requisite repairs.
Harness.—The general repairs and making of
new sets.
Smith and Farriers' Work.—For the Works Department
all the general smithing work for repairs
to carts, water-vans, machinery, buildings, and horseshoeing.

Fodder.— The undermentioned tenders were accepted during the year for the supply of fodder, the average cost per horse for keep and bedding being 17s. 4.18d. per week.

Street Cleansing, as described in previous reports,
this work is carried out by gangs of men, and whenever
practicable by the use of the horse-sweeping
and scraping machines, and in some of the principal
thoroughfares by the employment of street-orderly
boys to collect the horse droppings, depositing the
same in bins.
