WORKS DEPARTMENT.
Report in connection with the several works of
Dusting, Watering, Carting Roadway Materials,
Smith's Work, and Cleansing the Public Highways,
for the year ending Lady-day, 1885.
Dusting.—The continued depression in the brickmaking
trade together, with other causes mentioned
in previous reports, have been the means of considerably
reducing the sales of ashes and breeze,
and the present outlook appears very gloomy as to
any improvement taking place.
The miscellaneous materials and quantities
thereof, that have been abstracted from 19,354
loads of rough dust collected in the Parish, will be
found on pages 17, 22 and 23. The daily average
number of loads being 63.66 or 4.61 loads, per
horse, per working day.
