buildings in course of erection there.
A sewer, of the capacity of 3 ft. 9 in. by 2 ft.,
and 106 ft. in length, has been constructed in a
mews north of Cuthbert Street, for the drainage of
a large livery yard and stables, at an expense to
Messrs. Allen and Fitzwilliam of £77 7s. 1d.
Buildings.
The buildings erected in the Parish during the
year comprise one large board school, an additional
warehouse (Depository, Harrow Road), and 118
dwelling-houses, also stables in a private livery
yard and wharf premises.
Previously to the erection of these buildings,
notices were received by the Vestry from builders,
in compliance with the requirements of the Local
Management Acts. At the same time, notices were
given, accompanied by plans, showing the method of
proposed drainage of the buildings in question, and
the Vestry thereupon made the necessary orders,
which were served upon the respective builders.
Copies of the Vestry's orders attached to the
before-mentioned notices are retained in this Department
for future reference.
