One hundred and eighty-eight feet run of 3ft.
Oin. by 2ft. Oin. half-brick sewer, with stoneware
inverts, has been constructed in Lanark Villas, extending
from Stranraer Place to the sewer opposite
No. 63, together with other works at the cost to the
Vestry of £90.
In consequence of the dilapidated condition of
the side walls and invert of sewer in Great Western
Road, extending from No. 17 to the Great Western
Railway, it was found necessary, in order to its
efficient working, to repair the walls and level up
the worn invert. These works have been executed
by the Vestry's Contractor at a cost of £219.
For the drainage of the new buildings there has
been laid down six and nine-inch stoneware pipe
drains, in accordance with plans submitted to the
Vestry with the building notices, and the outlets
into sewers of all the drains have been trapped with
modern traps at the expense of the building owners.
