208 females,—and the annual death rate to be 13.3 per 1,000
inhabitants. In calculating the death rate no account is
taken of the deaths of parishioners in places outside the
parish; or, on the other hand, of the deaths of nonparishioners
in the parish, with the exception of those who
died in its public institutions. The recorded natural increase
of population from the excess of births over deaths was 332.
The population of the parish in the middle of the year, 1880,
is estimated at 115,731.
The number of births and of deaths, and the birth and
death rates in the two Sub-districts of the parish are shown
in the subjoined Table.
