Dear Sir,
I beg to advise you for the information of the Vestry that I have now
completed the Audit of the Accounts for the year ending 25th March last.
I have examined the Cash Book, and found the amounts of the Abstracts of the
Five Rate Collectors' Books duly entered, and payments made vouched for.
The Cash Books of the Highway and Works Department were also submitted to
me, and contained entries of the sums entered in the Vestry Cash Book as paid away to
these Departments. The various payments .made are accounted for, either in wages
accounts or by receipts.
The cash balances of the several Cash Books were proved by the Bankers' Pass
Books.
The neat and careful manner in which the Books are kept reflects great credit on
your Staff.
I am, yours truly,
Do. (further).
