Hospital. As 2 of those who died in the Lock
Hospital, and 164 of those who died in St. Mary's
Hospital, were non-parishioners, the corrected number
of deaths of parishioners in Paddington during the
year is 1,761.
Of these 1,761 deaths, 1,250 occurred in St. Mary's
Sub-district, and 511 in St. John's. The 1,250 deaths
in St. Mary's, include the 1 death in the Lock
Hospital, and 153 deaths—79 males and 74 females—
in the Workhouse. The 511 deaths in St. John's
include the 66 deaths of parishioners, which happened
in St. Mary's Hospital.
The deaths were most numerous during the first,
and least so in the third quarter of the year.
