REPORT
TO THE VESTRY OF PADDINGTON.
Vestry Hall;
July 6, 1874.
Gentlemen,
I have the honour of presenting you my
Seventh Annual Report on the Vital Statistics and
Sanitary Condition of the Parish. I beg to invite
your attention to some matters of interest falling
within the routine of my duty as your Officer of
Health—matters which, I trust, afford lessons either
for administrative purposes or suggestive for future
action.
I have put upon record (l) the annual and quarterly
statistics of births and deaths, (2) of the zymotic
disease, (3) of deaths in early life, and (4) of those
from tubercular forms of disease. Future reference to
these Tables will furnish data when, hereafter, more
extended researches are called for to check the ravages
of preventible disease among the population, and for
averting the high mortality that takes place amongst
young children.
