The following notes are supplementary to the information given in above table:—
1. These houses are inhabited principally by persons engaged on the dust wharves, very dirty and poor. 5. Several cases of scarlet fever
have occurred here lately, formerly there was small-pox. Great improvement have been effected in them by sanitary works. Overcrowding also
abated. 2 & 3. These houses are getting very dilapidated, some are over-crowded, and the people very dirty. 4. There has been a good deal of
illness here at times, leas lately—the houses are overcrowed, people improvident. Many pauper cases have been treated here by the Parochial
Medical Officers.
