The register book of nuisances and complaints contains 190
cases which admit of the following classification :

A few of these complaints were of a trivial character.
Thanks are clue to the Clergy, Medical Men, Vestrymen and
Ratepayers, from whom at all times much valuable information
has been elicited. The large number of complaints arising from
the accumulation and retention of dung, garbage and refuse from
trade (57 in number), and the frequent complaint of defective
drainage and untrapped gulleys (4G in number), indicate the
necessity for an improvement and active supervision in these
matters.
