The public and other Urinals.
The Inspector of Nuisances has frequently had
under his notice the condition of urinals. Many of
them attached to public houses are defective both
with regard to their situation and construction;
flushing apparatus has been applied in some, the
pavement and inlets have been much improved in
others. There is a lack of this necessary public
accommodation in the Parish; four are quite inadequate.
One is required at Maida Yale Bridge;
another in Praed Street, at the "Junction Arms,"
where it would accommodate several streets, and
do away with some existing urinal nuisances; one
at the " Load of Hay," by the cab rank of the
Great Western Railway Station,where the situation
is well adapted ; another is wanted at the extreme
end of the Parish in Kilburn Park Road, where the
population is increasing fast, and the traffic on the
public highway is great.
Public W. C. accommodation ought to be provided
at the Paddington Green Station, and in
other places, and some one engaged to attend to
them. It would be a paying speculation if
a small payment were demanded for this sort of
accommodation.
