Gentlemen,
I beg to submit to you my Report upon various
Works which have been carried out within the District from
Lady-day, 1895, to Lady-day. 1896.
SEWER5.
The brick drain at the rear of Nos. 342-420, Cable-street,
Shadwell, being found to be defective, and the owners of the
premises having called upon the Hoard to repair the same as a
sewer, the old brick drain was broken out and a 9-inch pipe drain
substituted, and connected to the sewer under No. 1, Glamis-road.
The brick sewer at the rear of houses in Park-street on the
boundary between Poplar and Limehouse, being found to be very
defective, an agreement was entered into by this Board and the
Poplar Board of Works, under which the Poplar Hoard have broken
