Gentlemen,
I beg to submit to you my report upon the works executed in
the District from Lady day, 1888, to Lady-day, 1889.
sewers.
In consequence of the old brick sewer in London Street, Ratcliff,
being in a defective state, detailed plans and sections were prepared
for constructing a new 12-in. pipe sewer, and the same having been
approved by the Metropolitan Board of Works tenders were
invited for the carrying out of the work, and that of Mr. G. G. Rutty,
was accepted.
The new pipe sewer 790 feet in length has been completed.
The following sewers have been cleansed by the Contractor of
the Board, viz.:
Limehouse.—
293 feet run of 18-in. brick sewer in St. Anne Street
100 feet run of 12-in. pipe sewer in West Row.
188 feet run of 12-in. pipe sewer in Tile Yard.
