Artizans' and Labourers' Dwellings' Bill.—The Board
have had under consideration the provisions of the Artizans' and
Labourers' Dwellings Bill in Parliament; and it appears that the
object of the Bill is the destruction of unhealthy dwellings, and
obtaining suitable sites for the erection of new dwellings. By
direction of the Board, a communication has been addressed to
the Home Secretary, who has charge of the Bill, suggesting that
provision should be made therein for the Vestries and District
Boards to have an opportunity of making any objections or suggestions
upon any scheme proposed by the Local Authority before
it is submitted to the Confirming Authority, and also to the Confirming
Authority before a decision is arrived at.

Tenders for works in connection with a Disinfecting Room
have been received, according to the directions of the Board, and
the Tender of Mr. Stuttle has been accepted, and the work completed,
the site being the half Railway Arch belonging to the
Board between Dorset Street and Caroline Street, Ratcliff. A
