Sewer in Copenhagen Place, Limehouse, through property belonging
to Captain Rowles, on condition that Captain Rowles is to
have the use of the Sewer for the purpose of draining his property
free of expense.
HOUSE DRAINAGE.
1GG houses (including 61 new erections and other buildings)
have been connected with the sewers, and the following works
executed in connection therewith, viz.:—
130 feet of 12-inch pipe drains laid.
744 „ 9-inch do.
6,981 „ 6-inch do.
1,669 „ 4-inch do.
152 Closet pans and traps fixed.
155 Sinks and traps fixed.
Inspections are being constantly made by the Inspectors
under my direction from house to house throughout the District
for the purpose of ascertaining what Cesspools remain, and whether
any defective drains exist.
PAVING.
New footway Paving has been laid down in the following
streets and places, viz.:—
Limehouse—In front of Nos. 7, 8, and 9, Mary Street. At
the corner of Northey Street and Church Lane.
SHADWELL—The part of Victoria Street in the Limehouse
District.
Wapping—High Street, opposite St. John's Warehouses.
Old footway paving has been relaid as follows:—
Limehouse—Opposite 201 and 203, Salmon Lane; portions
