The Board, as recommended by the said Committee, have required
the North Metropolitan Tramways Company to pave between the rails
with new 4-in. by 7-in. granite pitching, and outside the rails 4-in. by
9-in., so as to be uniform with the new paving of the remainder of the
road.
Vacant Land in Wapping Street.—Two tenders for a Building
Lease of the vacant Land in Wapping Street, near Red Lion Street,
Wapping, have been received. The tender of Mr. Hubbuck, of Lime
Street, City, has been accepted by the Board, with a provision for the
purchase of the ground-rent upon certain conditions.
