PUBLIC URINALS.
The total number of compartments provided in the Public Urinals
is 37.
In 2 Urinals there is a constant supply of water laid on; in the others
the cleansing is done by means of a hose several times daily.
IMPROVEMENTS.
Negotiations are still pending with the owners and other parties interested
in the houses required for the improvement of the High Street,
Wapping, extending from Upper Gun Alley to Church Street.
Negociations are pending with the parties interested in certain
properties in the line of a new suggested road from High Street, Shadwell,
opposite Glamis Road, to the back road opposite Hardinge Street, for the
purpose of making an estimate of the cost thereof.

NEW RAILWAYS, AND PROPOSED RAILWAY

The Railway Bridge over East Smithfield, Wapping, has been completed,
and the street under the same widened to 40 feet, according to the

clause in the Act of Parliament.
Plans have been deposited and notices served by the promoters in
reference to properties and public ways to be affected by the proposed
schemes within the Limehouse district.
