held on the 1st June, 1887, when the Board expressed their
very high appreciation of his character and ability, and of the
services he had rendered them. The Board passed a resolurecordmg
on their Minutes an expression of the deep
sorrow with which they had heard of Mr. Winnett's death,

from a large number of candidates; he was a most painstaking
and courteous officer and a faithful adviser of the
Board.
