A large amount of flushing and disinfecting was done, and
the Sewers regularly cleansed, the larger Sewers being inspected
about four times during the year. The work of flushing the Sewers
is very much increasing.
There was a large number of summonses taken out against
Builders for non-compliance with the Board's regulations for the
ventilation of house drains, for commencing building without
giving notice, and for allowing houses to be occupied before being
drained.
