By this operation a considerable annual saving has been
effected, the previous loans having borne interest at rates
varying from £4 5s. per cent, to £4 15s. per cent.
A special vote of thanks was given by the Board to Mr.
Williams, the then Chairman of the Finance Committee, for
carrying out this important consolidation of these loans.
IMPROVEMENTS.
The Surveyor in his Report has given the usual particulars
of the various improvements effected during the
year.
Further progress has been made in the improvements
at the Forest Hill Railway Station, and during
the year now under review, the works of widening
the road under the bridge north of the Station were
commenced.

Board will be to endeavour to enforce the terms of the
agreement by legal proceedings, however much such a course
may be against their wishes.

Board are able to congratulate the residents of the District
