during the year. Only 14 cases of epidemic disease—7
small-pox and 7 scarlet fever—having been treated during
the year 1881 ; but it must be remarked that the removal of
these cases from their homes and isolating them, has prevented
the spread of disease to their families and others.

time before the Board for their consideration.
