BOARD'S HORSES.
I am glad to say the health of the horses has been good.
With the exception of slight colds, there has been no sickness
in the stables.

The rainfall from the 26th March, 1880 to the 25th March, 1881(inclusive), as given bythe rain guage at the Forest stoneyard was as following:-

TAR PAVEMENT AND ROCK ASPHALTE.
In Lewisham the Tar Pavement at Aberdeen Terrace was
completed. I mentioned this Tar Pavement in my last Report.
In Penge a small portion of new Tar Pavement was laid in
the Maple Road. A great deal of the Tar Pavement in various
parts of the District was repaired and painted. The Rock As-
phalte in Wells Road was partly relaid.
