Note.-The Establishment Receipts and Expenses of the Board are in the first instance apportioned between
the Parish of Lewisham and Hamlet of Penge, on the basis of rateable value, and such receipts and expenses are
further apportioned between the several rate-purposes levied in the Parish and Hamlet respectively in proportion to
the net expenditure for the year on each.
The Apportionment of the Metropolitan Board of Works for the year 1881 not having been received at the
time of balancing the accounts, the Rateable Value adopted as the basis of apportionment is that for the year
1880, viz.:—
